Synopsis
This unit focuses on business communication and it’s relevance to accountants and the broader profession. To operate as an accounting professional, it is critical to learn to communicate effectively and understand the broader environment in which accountants operate. This unit provides opportunities to develop practical business communication competencies that relate to diverse contexts relevant to the accounting profession. Topics include: understanding the communication needs of accountants; developing written communication skills; presenting for influence; conflict resolution and non-violent forms of communication; networking and development of professional identity; and working collaboratively in teams and with clients.
