Overview

This core foundation unit will provide you with the knowledge and skills to understand how health professionals work in the Australian context. It will focus on building your understanding of healthcare practices and systems that influence a person’s diverse health needs.

 Key areas of study include interpretation of health data, social and other health determinants, communication skills, and the roles of health professionals. You will work with students enrolled in other allied health professions, and focus on how professions work together to advocate for better health outcomes for people living in diverse communities.
