Overview
Students will learn through this unit that media and communications is not just situated in the domain of creative endeavours, but that successful communication and media management is crucial to the growth and survival of any organization. This unit will focus on developing media strategies for both internal and external contexts, such as promoting safer workplace environments, or engaging with external stakeholders in times of crisis. Students will be introduced to a variety of media processes that require expertise and active management in any organization.

When you finish this unit, you should be able to:

Collaborate with others to identify and utilize collective skills and expertise to maximize impact of media strategies, as well as develop and utilize task management skills
Workload and teaching
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study.
