In this unit, students will examine case studies of gender-related issues in the workplace, drawing upon up-to-date research in sociology, organisational psychology, education, and cultural studies. Students will develop a theoretically informed perspective for understanding topics that are relevant and increasingly attended to in the workplace, such as organisation dynamics, gender- and sexuality-based discrimination, and diversity and inclusion. Through within-semester assessments and continuous feedback, students will be equipped with the skills to conduct research on the workplace and productively address work-related problems.
