Governance

The unit introduces you to public, private and not for profit institutions at international, national and local levels and how they impact upon the governance of communities in a range of international settings. The roles, relationships and networks of state and non-state institutions, and their influence on public policy, will be examined through the prism of international indicators and benchmarks of 'good' and 'bad' governance. The political, economic and regulatory dimensions of governance will be explored utilising contemporary issues in public policy.
