Governance
ATI5102
Synopsis
In this unit, you will examine public, private and not for profit institutions at international, national and local levels and how they impact the governance of communities in a range of international settings. You will analyse the roles, relationships and networks of state and non-state institutions, and their influence on public policy, through the prism of international indicators and benchmarks of 'good' and 'bad' governance. You will explore the political, economic and regulatory dimensions of governance utilising contemporary issues in public policy. Finally, you will consider how the design of public policies affects governance and how better governance can be achieved through good policy design.
