Synopsis
In this unit, you are introduced to the dynamics of crime and justice policy-making in Australia and will consider the factors that influence the implementation of criminal justice policy in practice. You will learn how to develop, analyse and evaluate criminal justice policies and understand what lessons can be learnt from past policies and will gain an understanding of how public policy is developed. Focus will be placed on how criminal justice policy is influenced and shaped by politics, special interest groups and events.
