Applying language to personal and professional contexts
APG5124
Synopsis
This capstone unit teaches you to apply your knowledge of language in multilingual settings to a range of personal and professional contexts where language plays a key role. It requires them to practice using knowledge and skills to engage with a range of data-driven tasks. Across the unit, assessment tasks call for application and critical evaluation, as the culmination of students’ learning across the Master of Applied Linguistics. The unit particularly encourages you to integrate an awareness of the complexity of language with your own personal and professional experiences, notably as regards the growing value of language as a resource and marker of personal and professional identity.
