Synopsis
In this unit, you will apply and further develop composition techniques through creating both acoustic and electronic musical works that synthesise key musical concepts. You will further audio mixing skills working in both DAW-based and studio environments, and learn to represent your musical ideas through different scoring approaches. You will also evaluate contemporary compositions, applying insights to your own creative work, and develop collaborative and performance skills through ensemble participation. By the end of the unit, you will have strengthened your abilities in composition, audio production, musical notation, and critical analysis, integrating these skills into your creative practice.
