You will consider the concepts of assimilation, multiculturalism and hybridity, and examine cultural diversity through discussions of immigration, ethnicity, gender and class, and viewed through the lenses of forced and irregular migrants, temporary migrants, and international students. You will use various perspectives to develop a critical understanding of contemporary ethnic relations and the concept of identity.
