Overview

The unit introduces you to a number of additional basic conceptual and practical issues in Chinese translation studies. It is aimed at improving your intercultural and inter-lingual communication skills through various translation projects and critical reading of a range of different representations of Chinese translation works. Through the study of Chinese and Western translation history, you will be able to enhance your translation skills. In addition, critical appraisal of translation is also introduced.
