Overview
In this unit, you will develop an interdisciplinary understanding of how global sustainability agendas are formulated and implemented in practice. You will examine the most influential global frameworks for sustainable development and analyse their impacts at the national and local levels. You will explore the key policy and political actors and processes involved in the shaping or implementation of these frameworks. Through the analysis of real-world case studies, you will investigate successes, failures, tensions and trade-offs, and consider options for strengthening sustainability governance in future agendas.
