Australia’s regional security strategy
ATS3258
Synopsis
This research simulation unit is designed to develop your research and collaborative skills and apply them to addressing the real world challenges of our time. In this unit you develop a Regional Security Strategy for Australia. You will learn about key security challenges facing Australia such as geopolitical tensions, security cooperation, climate change, disaster resilience, forced migration, development, food security, economic integration, human and women’s rights and health security, among others. You will then work in a team to research and prepare a section on a specific challenge, which will then be collated into an overall Strategy, which will be launched at a final conference event at the end of the semester.
