Overview
This capstone unit in the International Studies major offers you the opportunity to analyse critical global issues while boosting your employability in a diverse range of industries. In this unit, you will apply your interdisciplinary training and capabilities to a simulated ‘real-world’ research project, at the same time gaining experience in collaborative project work. You will work in teams to develop a high-level briefing document for a relevant international organisation, for instance an NGO or United Nations agency. Each project will address a particular issue of contemporary, global concern, such as inequality and injustice, political or religious conflict, or environmental sustainability. You will identify the key challenges inherent to the issue and make policy recommendations tailored to the organisation for which they are ‘working’.
