The unit will explore key challenges that police encounter in your daily practice such as family and domestic violence, those suffering acute mental distress, people who are homeless, and other vulnerable populations. You will also engage with the latest knowledge pertaining to those groups that tend to be over-represented throughout the criminal justice system. You will explore these issues through an intersectional lens and demonstrate your understanding of policing in relation to these issues.
