Overview

This unit examines sediment transport in the oceans, ocean circulation and mixing, ocean chemistry and productivity and hydrodynamic forces affecting coastlines. Particular attention will be paid to key geomorphic processes, such as riverine (fluvial geomorphic) and coastal processes such as erosion that pose significant management challenges for human societies and the natural world.
