Overview
This unit will cover the key concepts of data mining with an emphasis on model evaluation and interpretation. You will learn the fundamental techniques used to pre-process data and the practical use of data mining workbench. You will use data from a variety of sources, be exposed to hands-on case studies from outside the classroom. You will become acquainted with various popular learning algorithms (both supervised and unsupervised learning) to gain an appreciation of the foundational skills necessary in building data mining models.
