Synopsis
This unit is the first in a sequence to introduce you to a range of leading contemporary art practices and interdisciplinary methodologies. The unit facilitates an experimental approach to conceptual, material and technical processes through painting, sculpture, print, photography, video, jewellery, glass and digital fabrication. Associated projects are introduced based on theories of contemporary art practice, collaborative practices and a variety of research based strategies. You will begin to develop inventive and sustainable solutions to a series of projects that will enable you to develop a personal methodology and material language.
