Synopsis
This unit introduces you to techniques of economic appraisal in the evaluation of health care programs and technologies. It emphasises issues of data synthesis, analysis and presentation to produce the best evidence for making choices between alternative courses of action in health. The application of decision rules for economic efficiency in health care program evaluation and their influence on policy decisions are also introduced.
