Overview
This unit will introduce students to theoretical and practical aspects of learning and teaching in the health professions.
After reflecting on their educational philosophy, participants will apply theories, concepts, terms and processes of curriculum design, assessment, and educational leadership to their own learning contexts.
Students will then implement, assess and evaluate learning activities in selected clinical and other relevant settings.

Workload and teaching
On-campus: Students will attend Unit related workshops for four days as the equivalent of 24 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Each day will run from 0800 to 1700 - 8 hours, comprising 32 hours of the allocated 288 hours for the Unit. Refer to the unit guide for workshop dates.
Additional directed study (readings, engagement in online discussions, and reflective written work will comprise 104 hours).
Each onsite day will include lectures, tutorials, practical activities including mini presentations, debates, student-led demonstrations and discussions.
