Overview
In this final studio unit, you will build on learnings and skills acquired throughout your degree to develop a unique project chosen by you and based on a design concept in relation to one of the focused studio streams.
This studio will require you to demonstrate a level of competency and self-directed work that enables you to enter the profession, or continue with further studies. You will need to showcase advanced research skills as you address complex issues related to the changing environmental, societal, and cultural contexts within industrial design practice. You will develop and refine your methods for starting, managing, advancing, documenting, and communicating your project. Final design proposals should be translated into detailed models or prototypes as appropriate.
This unit challenges you to think critically and creatively about addressing a market or societal need, pushing the boundaries of your previous work and expertise.
