Innovation and change for digital transformation
MBO5009
Synopsis
In the digital age, organisations that fail to innovate and transform are replaced by entrepreneurial organisations that harness technology to re-define a competitive landscape. Digitalisation requires the use of digital technologies, platforms, systems and methods to change business models, create new products and services and introduce new ways of generating value. Digital transformation is the innovative process of making a business digital in terms of its products, services, and/or operations.
Building on a foundation in the study of the innovation process, and models such as design thinking, business model canvas, customer experience mapping and agile implementation, this unit explores the contemporary application of innovation approaches for digital transformation. You will work in virtual teams as you employ design thinking and agile methods to demonstrate deep understanding of innovation for digital transformation.
