Overview

Business strategy is typically formulated by senior management and is a pivotal, inherently social, component of managing, shrouded in ambiguity. Implementing strategy throughout an organisation is complex, requiring creativity and insight to navigate cross-functional boundaries in order to build synergies. This unit draws from a range of management disciplines and considers conventional and contemporary approaches to business strategy, such as pursuit of shareholder value and value to society and the environment. You will develop skills for collaborating by exploring the politics of decision making for self and others.
