Requisites

Overview

Entrepreneurship develops your understanding and capacity to launch and manage new as well as innovative business ideas. A combination of theory and practice is integrated into the conceptualisation and application of the entrepreneur phenomenon and the entrepreneurship process. You will be able to conduct self-evaluation and analysis of your surroundings in order to identify business opportunities that can be exploited to the benefit of the individual entrepreneur as well as the societies at large.

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. The unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.

Workshop Activities and Case-based teaching. This teaching approach provides interactive instruction, experiential activities and action-oriented research projects. Students are provided with the opportunity to apply concepts, ideas and theories to practical experience and vice versa.
