Business communication in the 21st century continues to be the means through which work is allocated, coordinated, and successfully completed. Skills in communication remain at the forefront of what employers are looking for in job candidates. In MGX2200 you will learn about communication and the necessary skills required to successfully communicate in professional contexts. You will learn about practical organisational communication theory, informative and persuasive communication, the relationship between verbal and non-verbal communication, self-awareness and interpersonal skills, diversity and communication, team communication, presentation skills, technology and communication, and effective written communication including job seeking. You will be provided the opportunity to develop and demonstrate communication skills to secure employment and work in modern organisations through a dynamic practical tutorial programme, using technologies, case studies, experiential learning, and assessment tasks to build job- ready skills.
