Synopsis

This unit introduces you to the concepts of health, wellbeing, the prevention of disease and illness as they relate to planetary, global and public health. You will develop a critical understanding regarding planetary, global and public health, social and environmental impacts on the health of people, health promotion and health screening.

Within this unit, you will continue to build your evidence-based practice and research skills to better understand these concepts and particularly those that impact on planetary health. These concepts of planetary, global and public health challenges, will be explored in the context of your nursing practice.
