Overview

This unit introduces you to the concepts of health and wellbeing and preventing disease and illness as they relate to global and public health.
You will develop an understanding of health and illness, global and population health, social and environmental impacts on the health of people, health promotion, and health screening.
This unit builds on previous units in the course with the application of research evidence to better understand these concepts, particularly the impact of planetary health. These concepts, in terms of global health challenges, will be explored in the context of nursing practice.
