Synopsis
This unit focuses on the essential requirements you will need to understand patient safety, quality care and risk management. There is a focus on the care of the older person and those with chronic conditions, including for priority populations.
You will explore collaboration with the interprofessional team to enable safe and quality care of the older person and those with chronic conditions. You will examine the nursing and midwifery role in healthcare access, equity and service navigation for those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, priority populations and those with chronic conditions.
Strength-based and socially inclusive approaches for safe and quality nursing and midwifery practice and skills are emphasised.
