Overview

This unit builds on the concepts covered in the core units in years one (1), two (2) and three (3).
You will explore leadership, education, and quality improvement, which are critical in addressing complex healthcare issues. Nurses are required to demonstrate effective leadership skills to role model the delivery of evidence-based practice in complex health care systems.  
You will be introduced to key leadership theories and how to collaborate in inter-professional teams in the safe provision of health care. 
To strengthen lifelong learning you will explore and apply teaching and learning theories to provide education to your patients and your peers.  The content also builds knowledge and skills associated with the key concepts required for quality improvement processes.
