Translation of nursing knowledge for primary care practice
NUR4111
Synopsis
This unit further develops the concepts of ageing, and chronic and life limiting illness introduced in NUR1111, NUR2225, NUR2227 and NUR2229.
It encompasses the relationship of these concepts to primary care practice and advances the skills of the nurse/midwife in the application of research evidence and the role of educator.
The development of these domains assists the nurse/midwife to translate these fundamentals into the practice of contemporary primary health care.
Sourced from the Monash Handbook 2026.
