Synopsis
This unit focuses on equipping emergency nurses with a knowledge base and skill set essential for proficient patient assessment and management in the emergency department. In this unit, you will apply your understanding of disease processes to assess and manage patients presenting to the emergency department. Through a combination of study days, self-directed learning, and clinical practice, you will build a specialist knowledge base, skill set and interpersonal competencies so you can confidently react to urgent situations and navigate high-pressure scenarios as a specialist emergency nurse.
