Synopsis

This unit addresses Theme 2 - Nutrition and Health, but reflects Theme 1- Foundation in Medical, Food and Nutritional Sciences and introduces you to Theme 3 – Nutrition Professional and Skills Development.  This is one of the core nutrition unit which encompasses nutritional and health requirements and concerns across the life cycle including pregnancy and lactation, infants, children adolescents and older adults. The unit builds on basic knowledge and skills obtained from first year units including fundamental units in nutrition, biomedical sciences and psychology... Off-campus field visits to specific communities and subsequent discussions will further enhance the teaching and learning experience in the context of the real world.
