Corequisite: Must be enrolled in Bachelor of Nutrition Science.
Prerequisite: Must have passed all of Year 2 M2001.
Overview
In this unit, you will complete a professional work placement within the field of nutrition science, applying your academic knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to nutrition projects and work tasks.
Throughout the placement, you will apply relevant nutrition science knowledge, skills and evidence within an organisational context. You will create innovative solutions to real-world nutrition problems, collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, and demonstrate professional behaviours. You will also gain insights into your future career as a nutrition professional through the practice of critical reflexivity.

Workload and teaching

3 days per week (for a total of 32 days across weeks 2-12) on applied work placement.
Notional hours of effort in the work placements is equivalent to at least 6 credit points.
8 hours of in-person workshops (4 x 2hr sessions) and one full day of project presentations end of semester (week 12).
