Overview

This unit forms the core element of Theme 4 – Research and Practice in Nutrition, building on knowledge and skills drawn from Theme 1, 2 and 3. In this unit, students will conduct a research project in the area of human nutrition, under the guidance of an academic supervisor as assigned in Research Methods in Nutrition (Year 2 Semester 2). The research project runs through the semester during which, students will receive on-going supervision and support from the supervisor.

    Apply statistical analysis software to analyse research data and interpret the statistical outputs.

    Utilize nutritional, technical or statistical software packages for data management and analysis.

    Evaluate the findings of the research and the achievement of the research objectives.

    Prepare a written scientific report based on the research findings.

    Communicate research findings in the form of poster presentation.
