Synopsis
In this unit, you will extend your interpretation of the role of paramedics as clinical leaders in major incident management. As major incidents vary in the number of casualties involved, environmental setting, and time frame, you will explore how major incident planning, recovery and response are coordinated between emergency services within the global context. Using evidence-based practice and your understanding of coordinated emergency services’ collaboration, you will acquire the knowledge to develop comprehensive management plans in response to a range of major incidents.
