Synopsis
The development of a successful and efficient perioperative approach to patient care requires knowledge and skills in a range of complementary disciplines and research-informed professional practices. These include consideration of human factors and leadership, health economics, perioperative outcomes and the use of protocols and pathways. This unit will facilitate the development of knowledge and skills to enhance the delivery of perioperative medical care. It will also enable you to identify a particular issue of interest to them and begin preparatory work towards the capstone project which will be completed in the final unit of the course.
