Overview

In this unit you will learn about different scientific writing techniques, communication strategies, and platforms which may be used for scientific communication.
Your assessments for this unit will focus on three core areas of science communication: oral presentations, media releases, and writing of a manuscript that could be potentially submitted to an academic journal for publication.
At the end of the unit, you are expected to have an understanding of core concepts in the field of science communication and to have developed the practical skills of communicating research through a variety of different means, which will prepare you for both academic and workplace writing and communication.
