Synopsis
This unit will provide you with a theoretical and practical overview of assessment and intervention that adheres to evidence-based practice. More specifically, this will include: 1) coverage of the theoretical background relating to the development of classes of tests; 2) scoring and interpretation of a range of psychological tests and classification tools; 3) exploration of a number of evidence-based therapeutic modalities that can be implemented with individuals experiencing common psychological presentations; and 4) reflection opportunities relating to client and clinician factors that can influence the planning and implementation of assessment and intervention methods in various psychological settings.
