Enrolment rules

Must be enrolled in course code M6042 or B6035 or B6056.

For students enrolled in M6042: Must have passed PSY5011, PSY5012, PSY5013, PSY5014.

For students enrolled in B6035: Must have passed 24 credit points.

Overview

Enhancing wellbeing is of benefit to both individuals and organisations. This unit introduces you to the determinants of workplace mental health and wellbeing. You will also learn about managing psychosocial risks in the workplace. The unit will introduce evidence-based approaches to enhancing the wellbeing of individuals, teams, and workplaces. You will also learn about psychological safety and how it can be cultivated.

When you finish this unit, you should be able to:

    Explain the factors which impact the mental health and wellbeing of individuals and teams in the workplace.

    Apply knowledge of mental health and wellbeing to risk assessment for psychosocial safety in the workplace.

    Apply evidence-based approaches to facilitate improvements to  mental health and wellbeing at individual, team and organisational levels.

    Analyse organisational issues related to behaviours, culture and structure that can have an impact on workplace health and wellbeing.

  5. 5

    Identify possible solutions to mental health and wellbeing challenges in the workplace.
