Overview

This unit represents the second phase of training towards clinical practice for students in their roles as provisionally registered psychologists. Placements are arranged via a network of external providers with due regard given to the professional interests of the student. You will be closely supervised in accordance with regulatory guidelines and should aim to achieve approximately 150 direct client contact hours towards the 400 overall hours they need to meet registration requirements. You will participate in discussions of clinical issues and recent developments in the field of Clinical Psychology and will be challenged to remain informed about such developments and issues. You will also attend Case Analysis each week and be rostered to present at least one case from their placement over the course of the unit.
