Synopsis
This unit is the first of two which provide an introduction to the principles of pathology and extends foundational knowledge of human physiology developed in year one of the course.
The unit introduces you to the principles of pathology followed by an analysis of a range of common pathophysiological conditions affecting the musculo-skeletal and respiratory systems.
The unit will enable you to recognise common pathologies affecting the musculo-skeletal and respiratory systems as displayed on medical images.
Using their prior knowledge of human embryology, the unit will also include a consideration of a range of congenital disorders.
