Pathophysiology for medical radiation science 2
RAD2006
Synopsis
This unit is the second of two units designed to introduce you to the principles of pathophysiology and their relevance to the discipline of medical radiation science.
The unit builds upon the knowledge developed in the first semester unit pathophysiology unit and extends those principles to a consideration of altered disease affecting the haematological, central nervous, cardiovascular, endocrine, reproductive, renal and gastrointestinal tract systems.
The unit will enable you to recognise common pathologies affecting these body systems as visualised on a variety of medical images.
Sourced from the Monash Handbook 2026.
