Synopsis
This unit includes the study of the structure and function of the skull, brain and surrounding structures. You will investigate cranial nerves and anatomy & physiology associated with vision. You will analyse a range of pathologies in relation to the structure and function of the brain and surrounding structures.
The anatomical representation and relationships of the head & neck, thorax, abdomen & pelvis and the appendicular skeleton are identified in multiple planes.
You will enhance your knowledge of cross-sectional radiographic anatomy through computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) and digital subtraction angiographic (DSA).
This unit underpins your studies of advanced imaging in year three of the course.
