RAD5506

Synopsis

This unit extends knowledge of the basic physical principles and imaging methods of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to include the MRI imaging techniques associated with cardiac and cardiovascular imaging, diffusion, perfusion and susceptibility weighted imaging.

Clinical indications and the preparation of the patient including positioning methods for these advanced techniques will be addressed. Sequence adaptations required to conform to clinical presentation, along with modifications to equipment will be considered.
