COREQUISITE:  You must be enrolled in Bachelor of Science Advanced - Global Challenges (Honours) to enrol in this unit.

PREREQUISITE: SCI2501 and SCI2502

Overview

In this unit you will complete a domestic or international science based internship of either at least 120 hours or between 80 to 120 hours duration, where you will put into practice the knowledge, leadership and entrepreneurial skills developed in your course. The internship experience will give you hands-on, real world exposure to the workplace environment and supplement your academic growth to develop your graduate attributes and employability skills. You will work with a host supervisor to establish professional objectives, a project plan, and to receive feedback on your progress. The internship will help you to develop self-awareness of your ability to meet stated objectives and areas in need of improvement.

Pre-placement workshops run by the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) team will support your preparation for the placement and develop an understanding of science-based professions, the work culture, and the skills and attributes required for the workplace.
