Overview
The aim of this capstone unit is to provide you with an opportunity to undertake a substantial individual or small group project with a strong mechatronics content. In order to complete the project, studies from earlier stages of the course will be integrated into a complete design/build/test task. It is envisaged that the project will involve the design of mechanical components, sensing, actuation and computing elements.

Project-based work. Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of 4-6 hours of scheduled learning activities and 6-8 hours independent study per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher-directed learning, peer-directed learning and online engagement. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities.
Project will be based on a research problem. You will bring in necessary learning while actively undertaking this project.
