Overview

This specialisation engages with the key issues and debates relating to digital technology in education and the application of effective educational technology practices for learning. With a focus on online teaching and learning, you will learn how to adapt digital technologies effectively in teaching and learning across school, tertiary, workplace and community settings. Additionally, educational issues relating to emerging technologies and practices, such as social media, artificial intelligence, data mining, digital games, mobile devices, virtual worlds and augmented reality, will also be explored.

Option 2 - Pathway to graduate research

24 credit points
A pathway to graduate research (e.g. master by research, PhD) is available if you have achieved a weighted average mark of at least 75% in the units of this course. PLEASE NOTE: If you are invited into this pathway, you must enrol in EDF5613 Research approaches in education (12 points) and EDF5614 Research project in education (12 points); if you are invited into this pathway and have been admitted into the course at entry level 3, you must transfer into the general education studies specialisation; on-campus attendance is required for this pathway; and this pathway is not available at the point of entry.
