Overview

This specialisation, offered by the Monash Sustainable Development Institute, will enable you to lead change and implement strategic, evidence-based and innovative sustainability solutions in a range of contexts, reflecting different organisational settings (community, business, government and non-government), geographic scales (local to global) and problem domains (environmental, social and economic). The specialisation is designed to equip you with professional skills and knowledge to analyse complex systems, identify effective intervention points and collaboratively and creatively design processes of influence to achieve more sustainable outcomes.

You must complete the following three units (18 credit points) AND one Level 5 unit (6 credit points) from the list of Leadership for sustainable development electives OR any Part C. Specialist studies unit from any specialisation in S6002 Master of Environment and Sustainability OR with permission from your Specialisation Coordinator, you may take any Level 5 unit at Monash relevant to your studies. You must consult with the unit coordinator to ensure you have the cognate knowledge to undertake the unit.
