All graduate research students are required to complete compulsory modules as part of their enrolment, including:

A coursework component
In addition, students may be required to undertake occupational health and safety training, project specific research ethics training, or other professional and skills development as relevant to their research project.
PhD students must complete up to two compulsory coursework units, assessed at enrolment and tailored to existing qualifications and experience, normally prior to the confirmation milestone:
A relevant methodology unit (MPH6041 Introductory biostatistics or MPH6215 Qualitative research methods)
Students are also required to complete the 'Human Research Ethics' module in myDevelopment within their first year of enrolment.
