In this online course you will be introduced to many ways data and analytics can support managerial decision making. You will learn key concepts and frameworks that enable the responsible use of data, recognising the unique limits of when and how data should be used to enhance organisational performance. You will also gain skills in the use of modern data analysis tools, such as Power BI, and engage with the design of analytics projects. This course is perfect if you want a deep understanding of data-driven decision making. You will be introduced to managerial analytics at an advanced graduate level with an opportunity to continue your studies into the Masters of Managerial Analytics. This course may also be used as a foundation for those who aspire to learn to use technical analytics tools such as those covered in the Master of Analytics.

The course comprises four units where you will be introduced to Managerial Analytics at an advanced graduate level. These units are designed to provide you with a foundational knowledge of each subject area.

Monash: Level A, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test

Progression to further studies
Students who successfully complete this course with at least credit (60%) average may be eligible for admission at entry point 2 into the Master of Managerial Analytics (B6059).
Successful completion of this course may also provide a pathway to a graduate diploma or master's course in the Faculty of Business and Economics subject to satisfying the appropriate entry requirements.
